Como vocês devem ter visto no Facebook do GentedeMontanha.com, fizemos cume ontem às 9am, horário de La Paz.
Tivemos sérios problemas de comunicação durante o curso pois nosso computador quebrou e o sinal que tradicionalmente existe na base da montanha foi removido. Espero que vocês não tenham ficado muito preocupados com a falta de notícias. Na próxima lembrem que notícias ruins viajam mais rápido que as boas.
Nosso curso foi um sucesso! Todos aprenderam muito e já começaram a planejar as próximas expediçoes. Alguns ainda voltarão para casa com um cume de 6088m no bolso!
Nos dias 8, 9 e 10 fizemos práticas num glaciar que fica na base do Huayna Potosi. Acabamos subindo para o acampamento alto no dia 11 para garantir uma boa aclimatação e tempo bom. Nossa previsão de tempo estava correta e o dia 12 foi perfeito.
Acordamos às 1 da manhã no refúgio a 5250m e partimos para o cume às 2:30am. Por se tratar da primeira vez de quase todos nossos alunos em grandes altitudes, muitos decidiram abortar o cume ao redor dos 5600m. Fabio, Kleiton, Camila Davel, Fernando Schlosser, José Fernando Schlosser, retornaram de mais ou menos 5600m e chegaram sãos e salvos ao acampamento antes das 7am. O Otávio, Marco, Juliana, Camila Dias, Andressa e Paulo Cesar, decidiram continuar. Logo após o amanhecer o Marco e o Otávio decidiram descer a mais ou menos 6000m. A Camila teve que descer muito perto do cume, já no começo da crista.
A Andressa, o Paulo e o nosso guia Celestino, chegaram ao cume por volta das 9 da manhã. A Juliana também chegou ao cume com outro guia-assistente logo após a Andressa e o Paulo. O Vinícius e eu atingimos o cume às 10 da manhã. O dia estava perfeito sem uma grama de vento. O céu estava completamente azul e um grande mar de nuvens cobria o planalto ao norte.
Todos descemos ao refúgio alto e continuamos para o outro refúgio na represa Zongo. Eram 4 da tarde quando estávamos todos reunidos à caminho de La Paz. Ontem jantamos pizza e lembramos como foi a maravilhosa aventura!
