Aconcagua Expedition Update – January 19, 2019

Blog | No comments

Hello! 👋

Today marks our final rest day at Plaza de Mulas before our next big push. We are saying goodbye to Roberto Mendonça and Jaime Tramontin, who joined us for the Aconcagua trekking adventure. Yesterday, they ascended with the team to Canada Camp – the first camp on Aconcagua at 5,050m – and proved they handle high altitude with ease. They now head towards Horcones with the renowned Spanish guide Fernando Garrido, famous for holding the world record for high-altitude endurance. They’re scheduled to reach Mendoza around midnight and will fly back to Brazil tomorrow. ✈️

The rest of the team is doing exceptionally well and continues to acclimatize as we prepare for our 5-day journey starting tomorrow. The climb to 5,000m that we completed yesterday is already paying off, boosting our performance for the ascent ahead. 💪🏔️

Stay tuned for more updates on our Aconcagua Expedition as we gear up to Climb Aconcagua and share insights on our Guide to Climb Aconcagua strategies, equipment tips, and high-altitude experiences!

Thank you for following our journey! 🙏
