Five 6000 metre Peaks - 21 days

About

Five 6000 metre Peaks - 17 February 2023

  • 12 Feb 2025 até 01 Mar 2025
  • Expedition cost if of USD 4600

The idea is climbing 5 x 6000 metre peaks in 21 days, and believe it, it is possible! This is actually an extension after our Ojos del Salado expedition. This is the second highest in the Andes and World’s highest volcano!

The base city is Copiapó in Chile  (Airport code CPO). During this expedition you’ll have the chance of climbing the following 6000 metre peaks and two more 5000 metre peaks for acclimatisation:

  • Siete Hermanos – 4780m
  • Mulas Muertas – 5200m
  • San Francisco – 6023m
  • Ojos del Salado – 6898m
  • Barrancas Blancas – 6125m
  • Vicuñas – 6088m
  • Tres Cruces Sur – 6738m

Other climbing options:

  • OPTION 1: You can acclimatise and climb Ojos del Salado for USD 3100
  • OPTION 2: You can climb 3 x 6000 metre peaks for USD 3250 (San Francisco, Vicuñas and Barrancas Blancas)
  • OPTION 3: You can climb San Francisco for USD 2300

Know more about each one:

  1. Siete Hermanos – 4780m – We climb it in our second day in the region, this is our first contact with altitude. First views to Ojos del Salado and Tres Cruces
  2. Mulas Muertas – 5200m – Our second acclimatisation peak. Although this mountain is 5900m, we only climb it to 5200m as it is just an acclimatisation peak and too early to go higher
  3. San Francisco – 6023m – This is our first 6000 metre peak and world’s easiest 6000er!
  4. Ojos del Salado – 6898m – World’s highest volcano and Andes’s second highest peak. This is our highest point in the trip
  5. Barrancas Blancas – 6125m – Third 6000 metre peak we’ll climb after climbing Ojos and resting for 2 days in the hot springs
  6. Vicuñas – 6088m – From the same basecamp and after a day rest, we climb our fourth 6000 metre peak
  7. Tres Cruces Sur – 6738m – Highest of the 3 peak complex named Tres Cruces (Three Crosses), this is probably the hardest of the 5 peaks but one of the greatest!
