Acabamos de descer do Cordón del Plata onde estivemos focados com o nosso plano de aclimatação. O tempo não foi dos melhores, pegamos 5 dias de neve e mau tempo sem descanso. Todo dia por volta das 2 da tarde o tempo piorava e começava a nevar. Todos mantiveram a calma e levamos as horas de mau tempo com muito humor.
Ficamos uma noite no refúgio Mausy há 2800m e continuamos para Piedra Grande (3600m) no dia seguinte. Pegamos chuva em Piedra Grande mas todos já estavam dentro das barracas. Comemos um strogonoff muito bom aquela noite e aclimatamos muito bem.
Chegamos baixo uma nevasca à Salto (4300m), o nosso acampamento base. Junto com Matias, cavamos 5 plataformas e montamos todas as barracas e até uma barraca-cozinha.
Pouco antes de escurecer o tempo limpou e sol apareceu por duas horas. Isso nos permitiu secar as coisas e esquentar um pouco.
O mau tempo não deu trégua no dia seguinte mas nosso time continuou firme e forte aclimatando no dia 13 de janeiro. O dia 14 foi bem curto pois fizemos uma caminhada de 2km até o acampamento Hoyada que fica há 4600m.
Todos reduziram a carga o mais que puderam para subir leves. A Patrícia dividiu sua pasta de dente com todos os outros assim economizamos peso. A Roseane e o Aleomar reduziram as sacolas de guloseimas e deixaram elas bem leves.
Saímos do acampamento às 4 da manhã do dia 15 para atacar o cume do Plata ou Vallecitos. Nevou muito nessa noite e acabamos optando em ascender o Vallecitos com 5400m. No caminho tivemos que abrir pegadas na neve profunda e chegamos ao cume por volta do meio dia. A vista de lá é indescritível!
Vamos ficar em Mendoza descansando amanhã e no dia 18 vamos para Confluencia, nosso primeiro acampamento no Aconcágua!
